Vals Criollo w/ Sirenita

Buenos Aires, 16.06.25

El vals criollo is a form of traditional Peruvian music, generated in coastal Peru, with influences from European, African, and Indigenous cultures. Many of the seminal singers of the genre are of Afro-Peruvian descent, and I believe it's important to recognize the contributions of people from the African diaspora in Peru, a country that is still deeply divided by race and class.
