1. Introduction

Internet Public Radio ("IPR", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website internetpublicradio.live. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our platform, create an account, or subscribe to IPR Plus.

By using our website, creating an account, or subscribing to IPR Plus, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

  • Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our website, including pages visited, time spent, browser type, device type, and IP address.
  • Account Data: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed password. We do not store your password in plain text.
  • Preferences & Activity: If you are a registered user, we store your saved favourites (residents, episodes, tracks, guests, and series) to personalise your experience.
  • Payment & Subscription Data: If you subscribe to IPR Plus, we collect billing information (name, email, payment method details) through Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers — all payment data is handled directly by Stripe.
  • Cookies and Tracking Data: Small files stored on your device that help us improve your experience and analyse site traffic.
  • Third-party Embeds: When you interact with embedded audio players (SoundCloud, Mixcloud), those platforms may collect their own data according to their respective privacy policies.

3. User Accounts

Creating an account on IPR requires a valid email address and a password. Your account data is stored securely via Supabase, our authentication and database provider. We use your email address to:

  • Authenticate your identity and manage your session.
  • Send transactional emails (e.g. password reset, email verification).
  • Send occasional communications about IPR, including new content, features, events, and offers — you may opt out at any time (see Section 8).

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@internetpublicradio.live. Upon deletion, your account data and saved favourites will be permanently removed from our systems.

4. IPR Plus Subscriptions

IPR Plus is our paid subscription tier. When you subscribe, we collect and process the following data:

  • Billing details — name, email address, and payment method, processed securely by Stripe.
  • Subscription status — active, cancelled, past due, or trialling — stored in our database to control access to subscriber features.
  • Billing period — start and end dates for your current subscription period.

We do not have access to your full card number, CVV, or other sensitive payment details. These are handled exclusively by Stripe and governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account page. Upon cancellation, your access to IPR Plus features will continue until the end of your current billing period.
