In the garden analogy, the genres and experimentations that once existed in a restricted and limited manner have overflowed… surpassing the boundaries and expectations imposed on the national cultural landscape. The kitsch "Colombianidad" has blurred, replaced by a planter overrun with weeds, flowers, minerals, fruits, insects, animals, and more. Music in Colombia can no longer be contained within a garden; life within it has grown in unexpected ways. It is now our task to carefully and delicately observe this vital tangle of infinitely complex sounds.
