Se Desbordó el Jardín - Aguirre invites Valia

Bogota, 25.06.25

Sixth episode of the radio show The Garden Overflowed by Bogotá-based DJ and curator Aguirre, where he invites sound explorers focused on the abundance of sounds and influences that permeate the Colombian experience. For this edition, he invites Valia, a bass, breaks, jungle, and DnB selector from the capital — a key figure in a massive scene in the city that still lacks visibility in the country's major clubs and festivals. She takes over the second hour with a powerful set. In the first hour, host Aguirre offers a strange — and slightly uncomfortable — selection of jazz, IDM, jungle, downtempo, and other tightly wound sounds.

This new LiquidFunk set is born from introspection and a desire to turn emotions into sound. Through a careful selection of soft rhythms and harmonies, I aim to create an intimate space where each transition breathes naturally. It's an act of presence — of letting music tell a bit of my everyday life, since if it had a soundtrack, it would definitely be a Drum & Bass track. A mix that reflects my essence: sensitive, creative, and deeply connected to what vibrates beneath the surface.
